About the movie

I’m Max Cowburn, born in 2033 in a small coast town near the Bavarian Atlantic, Erl. I was 18 years when old my grand father gave me his old 2D video camera a Sony. First I didn’t know what to do with it, my grandfather told me that in the winter he alway went filming in the mountains. He said there where free riders cruising the snow. Nowadays it’s almost to dangerous to go out and fur sure if you go up to high in the mountains.

Now there is a group of youngsters who want to give back Austria his postcard scenery, they go up and actually paint the highest peaks white. They call them self ‘mountain painters’. That’s how I got the idea for this old school film. I wanted to make a film about them. People who risk their live for a shot of adrenaline. So I took up my camera switch of my computer, stepped out of the virtual world  where we all live in these days and went out. And on the first day of filming I met a young boy who told me that his grandfather still had some real snow!!! And that was the beginning of an amazing story.
